Dementia Care

At Warrina Aged Care, we understand the unique challenges dementia can bring for both individuals and their families. Our compassionate, person-centred approach is designed to provide stability, comfort, and support through personalised care plans that include professional nursing, allied health services, nutritious meals, and enriching activities. We foster a calm, familiar environment to ease confusion and anxiety, with staff trained to respond empathetically to behavioural changes while always preserving each resident’s dignity. With a strong focus on well-being and connection.

We currently do not have a dedicated memory support unit, but we are actively exploring the development of one as part of our future plans. A memory support unit is a specialised, secure area within an aged care home designed to provide additional safety and structure for residents living with more advanced stages of dementia.

In the meantime, we continue to provide high-quality dementia care for residents who do not require a memory support unit. Our compassionate team delivers personalised support within our existing environment, ensuring individuals living with dementia feel safe, understood, and well cared for.

When to Consider Dementia Care

As dementia progresses differently for everyone, there may come a time when additional support is needed. If you’re considering dementia care for a loved one, it can be helpful to speak with your GP or contact our team to learn about the services available. Aged Care Assessment Teams (ACAT) are available to guide you through the process and assess eligibility for residential care services.
